[Guest Post] 911836 Star Wars Magazine Quadjumper Limited Edition Review

Another in the series of continuing guest posts by Francisco Duarte

I got this pack with two Lego Magazines (Portuguese edition) and assorted Lego sets for 4.95€ at a local store. This meant I have acquired 90 parts at 0.05 cents per part, which is not a bad price overall.  The second set I got was this Quadjumper.  It comes in a small bag within the magazine. The magazine itself includes the instructions inside.

Parts 1. Slopes, 2x2
cylinders and 2x2 cones.

Parts 2. Tiles, padlocks, claw bar holders, 1x5 plates with hole.

Made a ship – it looks like a science vessel, so I’d say it is an HVA.

Questions:
Can you build something -- a frame, station, or starship -- right away? Yes. (+5)
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? Below. (+5) (The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.)
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away? Yes. (+5)
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts? Kind of – some parts are very specific in their potential uses. I think I would be hard pressed to make a proper Frame out of this set. (+0)
Score: +15 (A). This is a great set, but it is highly advisable to get it with a magazine pack, as it has the better price.
