Review: 75125 Star Wars Microfighter Series 3 Resistance X-Wing Fighter

I needed the nose cone piece -- from this one too -- to finish out a squad I'm working on, so I dug this out of my backlog pile.

Box.  MSRP was $9.99 for a $0.12 Price per Piece.

Instructions.

Minifig.

Parts 1.  Plates, Wedge Plates, Brackets, Curved
Top Bricks, Bar Plates, Clip Plates, Plates w/Pin
Hole, Slopes, Technic Pins w/Bar Extension.

Parts 2.  Plates, Grille Tiles, Jumpers, Slopes, Technic Axle
Pins, Clip Plates, Cones, Round Tiles, Tile, and Minifig Gun.

Build.  Another 2Rd+d8/2Rh+d8 Frame.

The Questions:
Can you build something -- a frame, station, or starship -- right away?  Yes.  (+5)
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio?  Above.  (-10)
(The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.)
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?  Yes.  (+5)
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?  Yes.  (+5)
Score: +5 (B+).  The lower parts count has a big effect on the score, despite being similar to the Series 1 X-Wing.

Parts 2.  Truncated Cones, Stud Launcher, Transparent Boat Studs, Bar Plate, Brick w/Studs on side, Technic Brick w/Pin hole.

Build.  IO frigate (2Ra+d8/1Y)

The Questions:

Review: 75129 Star Wars Microfighter Series 3 Wookie Gunship

Activating the Wayback Machine and digging into my backlog for today's review.

Box.  MSRP is $9.99 for a $0.12 Price per Piece

Instructions.

Minifig.

Parts 1.  Plenty of Tan.  Grille Tiles, Slopes,
Hinge Plates, Pin Hole Plates, Bar Plates,
Bar Holder Claws, Plates, Jumpers, Tiles,
Flick Missiles, Cones, and a Clip Plate.

Parts 2.  Plates, Wedge Plates, Brackets, Axle Plates, Hemisphere Bricks, Truncated Cones, Slopes, Axles, a Bar Tile, a Tail, a Bar Plate, and a Flag.  One of the Wedge Plates is damaged.  The box this came in -- which is not the one in the picture -- was really banged up but I didn't anticipate something like this.

Build.  Frame (2Rd+d8/2B or 2Y).

The Questions:

Score: +5 (B+).  I like it.  The price could be a tad better though.
