Review: 30555 Poppy's Carriage Polybag

I found this in Walmart as part of a display of new Trolls sets.

Bag.  I paid $4.97 for this which gives a $0.10 Price per Piece.

Instructions.

Minifig.

Parts 1.  Round Plates, Slopes, Chest, Plates, Harness
Plate, Brackets, Large Jumper, New Turntable Bases,
Bar Plates,  Jumpers, Brick w/Studs on Side, Brick,
Clip Claws, Clip Tiles, Printed Round Tiles, Bar
Studs, Bar Bar Holder, and Quarter Tiles.

Parts 2.  The Cupcake
bases could be useful.

Build.  A Frame and a Station.

The Questions:
Can you build something -- a frame, station, or starship -- right away?  Yes.  (+5)
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio?  At.  (0)  (The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.)
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?  Yes.  (+5)
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?  Yes.  (+5)
Score: +15 (A).  An embarrassment of colors .

Purity: B9989 Kre-O Poppy's Bug Adventure Review

Getting back to the building block systems for the final post of the week.

Box.  MSRP is $5.99.  I paid $6.99 for this at Toys'R'Us.  Which gives us a $0.24 Price per Piece -- $0.21 at MSRP.

Instructions & Stickers.

Kreon.  Once again, cloth hair.

Parts 1.  Yes, those are adhesive googly eyes like you might buy at a arts and crafts store.

Parts 2.  Not a lot here, but I like seeing parts in Lilac.

Wings 1.  Another felt piece.  This is the front.

Wings 2.  This is the back.

Build.  Yeah, it's not great.

The Questions:
Can you build something -- a frame, station, or starship -- right away?  Not really.  (-5)
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio?  Above.  (-10)  (The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.)
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?  Yes.  (+5)
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?  No.  (-5)
Score: -15 (C).  The lack of parts really killed the score on this.

Purity: Kre-O B9528 DJ Suki's Wooferbug Review

Kre-O is back!  Well, sort of.  There appear to be four new sets for the Trolls movie.  Which was released back in the first week of November 2016.  So why are they just hitting the shelves now?

Anyway, on to the review.

Box.  MSRP is $7.99.  I paid $9.99 for this at Toys'R'Us.  This gives us a $0.18 Price per Piece -- $0.14 at MSRP.

Instructions and Stickers.

Mini-Kreon.  This thing has
a giant head and cloth hair.

Parts 1.  Purple, and Light Blue pieces,
and that Felt piece could be interesting.

Parts 2.  Blue, Light Blue, Green, and Teal parts.  Bricks, Brackets, Plates,
Ball Joints, and Clip Plates, not a bad selection and I like the colors.

Build.  I'm thinking 2Rh/1G+d8/2W
with the extra legs and that ram.

The Questions:
Can you build something -- a frame, station, or starship -- right away?  Yes.  (+5)
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio?  Above.  (-10)  (The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.)
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away?  Yes.  (+5)
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts?  Yes.  (+5)
Score: +5 (B+).  Not bad for a licensed set.
