I should have posted this on Tuesday.  Target is running a "20% Off Select City, Friends, and Duplo Sets" sale this week.  I'm not sure if this is an online only sale.  This might be a chance to get some of those City sets that have a questionable Price-per-Piece though.

Review: Gundam Converge RX-78GP01-Fb Gundam GP01 "Zephyrantes" Full Burnern [270]

Wow, that is a long title.  Let's do a Gundam Converge review.  This set is from the second wave of 10th anniversary sets which was released in July of 2022.

Box.  I paid $7.99 at Barnes & Noble for this.

Parts.

Disassembled.  The head vanes/antenna could be Spotting.  The

maneuver jets could be Defense or Movement.  The head could

be Defense or Spotting.  The gun could be Direct Fire, Artillery or

Spotting.  The shield could be Defense.  The arm can be removed for

White Die damage.  I'm not sure if the left arm is also supposed to be

removable and I may have damaged my model trying to take it apart.

Assembled.  I couldn't fit the antenna into the mounting point so I left it off.

Size Comparison.

The Questions:

Is it a good size to use in a game?  Yes.  About the same size as a Chub.  (+5)
How many parts does it have to represent systems?  Five.  (+5)

Score: +20 (A+).  It's a "Soldier" archetype right out of the box.

Review: 30646 Moana's Dolphin Cove Polybag

This is one of the new 2023 polybags.  I found this in the Lego aisle at Walmart.

Bag.  MSRP is $4.97, for a $0.11 Price per Piece.

Instructions.

Minifig.

Parts.  Half Circle Plate, Plates, Half Oval Plate, Wedge Plates, Minifig Surfboard, 

Round Jumpers, Translucent Large Jumpers, Windshield, Round Plates w/3 Leaves, 

Ice Cream, Slopes, Arch, Ice Cream Cones, Sword Leaf, Studless Slopes w/Cutout, 

Clip Plates, 1x4x3 Grille Bar, Round Bricks w/3 Leaves, and Flower Plates. 
  

Build.  Two Stations, or a 1 Hit piece of Cover and a 2 Hit piece of Cover.

Review: Mega Bloks HHL16 Pokemon Totodile

Let's do another Series 16 Pokeball review.  Once again there's only a listing on the Canadian site.

Cylinder Ball Joints, Round Plate, Barb, and Round Brick w/Bar Hole.

Build.

Score: -5 (B-).  That head design is a good deal smaller than the Ninjago dragon ones and would probably fit well on a MFZ:RA frame design.

Review: Mega Bloks HHL18 Pokemon Ledbya

Let's do a Series 16 Pokeball review.  For some reason there's only a listing on the Canadian Mega Bloks page.  I bought this because it looked neat.

Box.  MSRP is $8.99 for a $0.23 Price per Piece.

Instructions.

Parts.  Printed Domes, Tiles w/Studs, Tile, Jumpers, Printed Half Domes, Double Sided Half Round Brick, Dome, Double Sided Ball Joint Plates, Ball Joint Plates, Double Sided Round Plates, Domes w/Bar Holes, Double Sided Round Bricks w/Bar Hole, Round Tiles, Horns, and Bar Ball Joints.

Build.  Getting this to stand took a little work so it might require a base.

Terrain & Scenery 23

I spent the day reading a new book, so here's a picture post for you to enjoy.

Shield Generator by ballomnonnom.  A bit big for a Station -- it's definitely

tall enough for Cover -- but pretty fantastic looking all the same

Exoplanetary Outpost by Sheogorath.  The blaster turrets

in this build are what fascinate me.  Disabled downloads.

Untitled by 4estFeller.  It would take only 1 Hit to reduce the center

piece under the Cover limit but if you have a lot of Translucent

Green Plates/Tiles then a bunch of "trees" that look like this

would make for an interesting table.  More disabled downloads.

Autonomous Vehicles of Hibernia by BetaNotus.  These

are a little large and parts intensive than what might be

considered "normal" for MFZ:RA but they have a serious

sci-fi vibe thatnwould be cool on a gaming table.

Hibernia Light Tanker by Jeff Snyder.  See my notes above.

The Beetle - Space Multipurpose All Terrain Vehicle by Wiseman Lego.

I love the shaping on this.

This is a polybag from 2022, it was supposedly a "Free With Purchase" from August/September at the Lego store.  I found this in the Lego aisle at one of my local Targets.
