Purity: Arcade Classics Asteroids Arcade Cabinet Set Review

There's another group of Arcade Classics sets from "The Bridge Direct".  These are brick built versions of old arcade game cabinets.  As before the only real source of information is a Youtube video.  I originally thought these were all the same pieces with different stickers but turns out I was completely wrong on that count.

Box.  I paid $3.99 at Toys'R'Us for a $0.10 Price per Piece.

Instructions.

Stickers.

Parts 1.  Those 1x1 Round Tiles in the bottom row are like the Brick Forge versions rather than the regular Lego ones.  Everything else is bog standard.

Build.  Station and a 2 Hit piece of Cover.

The Questions:
Can you build something -- a frame, station, or starship -- right away? Yes. (+5)
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? At. (0) (The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.)
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away? Yes. (+5)
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts? No. (-5)
Score: +5 (B+).  A cheap way to score some Terrain type clone brick pieces.

Purity: Arcade Classics Frogger Review

There are three of these Arcade Classics sets from "The Bridge Direct".  The only real reference to them to be found online is a Youtube video.

Box I paid $9.99 at Toys'R'Us for a $0.08 Price per Piece.

Instructions.

Stickers.

Parts 1.  That Minifig Kite Shield
is neat, as are the two "T" shaped
Plates in the top row, and the 2x2-
2x2 Bracket.  More Kre-O large
Ball Joints in this set too.

Parts 2.  More Minifig Shields.  Slopes, Bar Plates, Clip
Plates, Plates, Minifig Hand-like Bar Claws, Brackets,
Tiles, a Bar Tile, a Boat Stud, and Slopes w/Studs.

Build.  Two Soldier Frames, two Stations, and two 1 Hit pieces of
Cover.

The Questions:
Can you build something -- a frame, station, or starship -- right away? Yes. (+5)
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? Below. (+5) (The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.)
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away? Yes. (+5)
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts? Yes. (+5)
Score: +20 (A+).  Like Wednesday's review, a good set limited by its monochromatic nature.

Purity: Arcade Classics Q*bert Review

There are three of these Arcade Classics sets from "The Bridge Direct".  The only real reference to them to be found online is a Youtube video.

Box I paid $9.99 at Toys'R'Us for a $0.09 Price per Piece.

Instructions.

Stickers.

Parts 1.  Plenty of Plates here.  Those Round Bricks look to be 3x3 in size but only have 2x2 studs on them.  I see more Minifig Shields, and those are Kre-O Ball Joints in the lower right corner.

Parts 2.  Those 2x2 Plates in the upper right corner are double sided.  The Slopes w/Studs are neat too.

Build.  One Frame, three Stations, and three pieces of one Hit Cover.

Not as good looking as the Centipede set.  The monotone nature of the colors really hinders it.

Purity: Arcade Classics Centipede Review

There are three of these Arcade Classics sets from "The Bridge Direct".  The only real reference to them to be found online is a Youtube video.

Box I paid $9.99 at Toys'R'Us for a $0.06 Price per Piece.

Parts 1.  Those 1x1-1x1 Brackets are neat, as are the 1x1 Round Bricks w/Studs on side.  Let's not forget the Minifig Hand-like Bar Clips.

Parts 2.  Plenty of Slopes, Plates, and Bricks.  Minifig Shields are nice.

Parts 3.  Slopes, Clip Plates, and Bar Plates

Build.  Two Soldier Frames, two
Stations, and a 1 Hit piece of Cover.

This makes a great starter set.

Oh, by the way, this is my 1,000th post.
