Polly Want A Baggy 13

Back in October of last year we got a preview of what this year had to offer.  Looks like Lego is transitioning to paper bags for future polybag offerings.  As per usual, this information comes from Brickset.

30688 Tropical Toucan There are some nice flashes of color in this one.  According to New Elementary it's a Gift with Purchase for January 2025.

30689 Birthday Party Animals Kinda brick-y.

30691 Mini Monster Truck This could be a decent starship.

30694 Space Science Mech Frame-in-a-Bag

30695 Cinderella's Mini Garden Castle Looks like a terrain set to me.

30697 Nova's Doghouse Build Either terrain or a Station.

30698 Cooper's Flying Controller Mini Build This looks fun.  Probably another Frame-in-a-Bag.

30699 Mini Ninja Combo Mech Another Frame-in-a-Bag, hopefully it's more available than last year's Ninjago polybag.

30701 Field Flowers The first Botanicals polybag.

30703 Julian's Beach Painting Terrain, from the looks of it.

30704 Balkiry Attack I think this could be a Ship-in-a-Bag for IO or maybe a flying Frame for RA.

30705 The Lush Cave Fight Not sure what to think of this one.

30710 Skid-Steer Loader Another Technic polybag.  Lets hope this one is as good as the Mars Rover from last year.

As always, good hunting.

Good Sets for Parts 19

It's been over a year since I've done one of these posts, mainly because I wasn't really excited by very many sets last year.  This year's Lego releases have an overall theme of "Space" and according to a designer in an interview I read there's also a "Mecha" theme going on.  So that should lead to a number of cool sets for us to look at.

31145 Red Dragon – $9.99 for 149 pieces.  $0.07 per part.  Bright colors, plenty of Ball Joints, some Padlocks, Hinges, and other useful parts.

31149 Flowers in Watering Can – $29.99 for 420 pieces.  $0.07 per part.  Clear Clip Plates, D Snot Bricks, Octagonal Bar Plates, and Curved Bars just to start.  I'm guessing you could get a few Frames and some Terrain out of this set.

40709 Spring Animal Playground -- $12.99 for 172 pieces. $0.08 per part.  I actually saw this one in the store the other day.  What caught my eye was all the parts for potentially building trees, along with a bunch of Clip Plates, Bar Plates, and other useful bits.

60428 Space Construction Mech – $10.99 for 140 pieces.  $0.08 per part.  Already reviewed.

60400 Go-Karts and Race Drivers – $9.99 for 99 pieces.  $0.10 per part.  Nothing groundbreaking in this set, I just think it has neat colors and would be good as a starter for Intercept Orbit.

60406 Race Car and Car Carrier Truck – $29.99 for 328 pieces  $0.09 per part.  Plenty of Teal along with a handful of interesting parts.  Combine it with 60400 and you should be able to build a decent IO fleet.

42609 Electric Car and Charger – $15.99 for 170 pieces  $0.09 per part.  The previous Friends Electric Car set was excellent and this one looks like it might give that one a run for its money.

76277 War Machine Mech Armor – $14.99 for 154 pieces  $0.10 per part.  Exo-Force Arms, Stud Shooters, Ball Joints, along with something that looks like a mini-Station makes for an interesting set.

71805 Jay’s Mech Battle Pack – $9.99 for 78 pieces  $0.13 per part.  Like other Battle Packs this set is minifig heavy but, it's a new source of those Hexagonal Panels everyone likes so much.

71806 Cole’s Elemental Earth Mech – $19.99 for 235 pieces  $0.09 per part.  A heavyweight looking mech, Black, Orange, some Gold, new Panel parts, and a handful of useful bits too.

71807 Sora’s Elemental Tech Mech – $19.99 for 209 pieces  $0.10 per part.  A little smaller than the prior set and the price point isn't as good but, it has less bulky parts and I like the tree design.

71808 Kai’s Elemental Fire Mech – $29.99 for 322 pieces  $0.09 per part.  Two mechs in one set means plenty of useful parts in multiple colors.

75372 Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack – $29.99 for 215 pieces  $0.14 per part.  This falls victim to the "Star Wars Tax" but it's a Frame-in-a-Box with a bunch of Droid Bodies and other useful parts, along with a handful of minifigs you can use for something else or sell off.

These were just some of the sets released on January 1st and there are more to come throughout the year so we can look forward to a greater number of potentially useful sets in 2024.

Polly Want A Baggy 12

It's that time of year again, when we scour Brickset for information about upcoming polybag releases that might be useful for MFZ.

30658: Mobile Music Trailer  Sounds interesting and it looks like it has some useful parts.

30659: Flower Garden  Friends flower polybags are always useful.  This is currently on the shelf and can be found in the Seasonal section at Target.

30662: Maple's Pumpkin Garden  Another new line for 2024, this Animal Crossing polybag looks like it will be good for terrain.

30663: Space Hoverbike  Looks like it should be good for Intercept Orbit.

30666: Gift Animals  Secret demon in a bag?  This is currently on the shelf and can be found in the Seasonal section at Target.

30667: Animal Birthday Party  I see a handful of useful parts in this one.

30669: Iconic Red Plane  Another good starter for IO.

30671: Aurora's Forest Playground  Terrain?

30674: Zane's Dragon Power Vehicles  Cars are usually good for IO ships.

30676: Kiki's Coconut Attack  That looks like a Frame-in-a-Bag as well.  Too bad about that "coconut" though.  This has been spotted in the wild, possibly at Walmart.

30680: AAT  If you want to use a hovertank as your Frame then this is the polybag for you.

30682: NASA Mars Rover Perseverance  A bunch of Technic in this one.  I'm intrigued by the wheels.  Rumors have this one available at Walmart too.

As always, good hunting.

Polly Want A Baggy 11

It's time once again for our yearly look at the upcoming polybag releases.  As usual all information was culled from Brickset.

30633: Skate Ramp  I see a Tap, Inkwell, Clip Bricks and other useful parts.

30634: Friendship Flowers  This resembles past Friends flower polybags with a possible increase in the number of colors used.

30639: Dog Park and Scooter  The main build may be lackluster but, I see a functional 1 Hit tree in that polybag.

30649: Ice Dragon Creature  I think this will be the "must have" polybag for the MFZ community in 2023.  That's a "Frame-In-A-Bag" in two different ways.

30655: Forklift with Pallet  Technic polybag, third year running.  The one from 2022 was somewhat easy to procure, let's see about this one.

30656: Monkey King Marketplace  A handful of useful bits and possibly some sort of Terrain build.

Not sure if it's because it's very early in the year or because Lego is cracking down on leaks but, there's not much to this list so far.

Good Sets For Parts: Terrain 2

A short discussion on the Discord about good sets for terrain made me dig up this old post and update it.  It's been nine years since I've done one of these.  Every now and then Lego will have a batch of sets that make for a good starting point for building a battle field.  Looks like this is one of those times.  I'll warn you right up front that most of these are City sets and we know how horrible those price points are.

60307 Wildlife Rescue Camp.  $99.99 for 503 pieces, $0.20 per part.  Trees, rock outcroppings, megafauna, and a vehicle.  We've got a wilderness battlefield starter here.  Add in 60302 Wildlife Rescue Operation and 60301 Wildlife Rescue Off-Roader to expand it.

60336 Freight Train.  $199.99 for 1153 pieces, $0.17 per part.  A four car train and another vehicle along with a decent sized track oval.  Add in a bunch of my Medium Sized Building as a group of warehouses and that's the beginnings of a good business district battlefield.  Two of 60205 Tracks would build a bigger oval for cheaper if you had enough parts to build the train on your own but you'd be missing the switch and spur sections.

60351 Rocket Launch Center.  $159.99 for 1010 pieces, $0.16 per part.  Ever since G.I.Joe issue #8 -- and more recently, Gundam 0080 "War in the Pocket" episode 1 -- I've wanted to have a battle around a rocket launch site.  You could possibly expand it with 60350 Lunar Research Base.

60265 Ocean Exploration Base.  $79.99 for 497 pieces, $0.16 per part.  An undersea battlefield is another one of those "must build" ideas for me.

10303 Loop Coaster.  $499.99 for 3756 pieces, $0.13 per part.  All that Dark Blue and 29 Octagonal Bar Plates.  For someone that doesn't like trains, I weirdly have a thing for sets with track sections in them.  :-)

21058 Great Pyramid of Giza.  $129.99 for 1476 pieces, $0.09 per part.  Tons of bricks and no pesky minifigs taking up space.

41703 Friendship Tree House.  $79.99 for 1114 pieces, $0.07 per part.  I bought two of these so I could make a bunch of this and this type of tree.  There are also plenty of other foliage bits, bricks, and useful parts.

So, yes, the initial cost is high but, hopefully, these will be the start of an awesome battlefield for your group to destroy on a regular basis.

Good Sets for Parts 18

It's been almost a year since I've done a "Good Sets for Parts" post, so let's look at some of the new releases for 2022.

43203 Aurora, Merida and Tiana’s Enchanted Creations.  The price is $70 but it has some nice colors and parts along with those crystal/boulder pieces.

21180 Minecraft: The Guardian Battle, this one looks to have some nice parts at a good price point.

40524 Sunflowers, has me intrigued -- plenty of Clip Plates, $0.07 per piece, and the last Botanical set I reviewed was really good.

76204 Black Panther Mech ArmorIron Man Mech Armor, and Wolverine Mech Armor are the next set of releases in the Marvel Mech armor series and this series has been good for MFZ since the start.

71761 Zane's Power Up Mech.  New parts, Ball Joints, and cool colors at $0.10 per piece.

71760 Jay's Thunder Dragon.  It's $0.14 per piece but it has new parts, Ball Joints, and cool colors.  I should have a review coming soon.

75321 Star Wars Razor Crest Microfighter.  It's a lot of Dark/Light Bley but, Microfighters are usually a good source of parts for Intercept Orbit.

42132 Technic Motorcycle.  I'm always a fan of small Technic sets and at $0.08 per part that just makes it all the sweeter.

40540 Lion Dance Guy Brick Headz.  Okay, this one is a little more personal to me but, Brick Headz sets are a good starting point for Intercept Orbit and it's $0.04 per piece!

Polly Want a Baggy 10

A look at the upcoming polybags for 2022.   As usual all information was culled from Brickset.

30417: Garden Flower and Butterfly, Octagonal Bar Plate!  Pentagonal Wedge Slopes, Clip Plates, Heart Tiles, and a Hinge Plate among other good parts.

30432: The Turtle Beach, I see a handful of good parts and what looks to be a Station in a bag.

30433: Volvo Wheel Loader, another Technic polybag.  It'll probably have the same availability of the one from last year.  Yay.

30443: Spider-Man Bridge Battle, that drone looks like a good mini-Frame.

30455: Batmobile, I see a handful of those Minifig Posing Stands in Light Bley.  Car polybags are pretty useful too.

30495: AT-ST, that's a chicken walker Frame-in-a-Bag.

30562: Monkie Kid's Underwater Journey, possibly another Station in a bag.

30581: Tropical Parrot, I like all the colors and I see a couple of Ball Joints.

30582: Birthday Bear, I think there's a Frame-in-a-Bag here.  I'm looking forward to the chance to try.

30585: Fire Patrol Vehicle, a couple of over-molded parts and vehicle sets are pretty useful.

30587: Police Robot Unit, eight Inkwells along with a couple of other good parts.  Too bad the overall parts count looks low.

30592: Mini Thunder Raider, two mini Frames-in-a-Bag.

30593: Lloyd Suit Mech, another Frame-in-a-Bag.

I managed to review nine out of the eleven polybags I called out last year, let's hope the availability is as good this year.

Good Sets for Parts 17

So I didn't post one of these for 2020 because the offerings from Lego weren't great for MFZ beyond the Marvel mecha sets and, well, it was 2020.

60304 Road Plates -- The pricing isn't great ($0.18 PpP) but it's a good starter set for terrain or a diorama.

41926 Creative Party Kit -- The Cupcake case could be an interesting terrain piece and it's full of accent pieces.  At $0.04 per Piece this is a great deal.  Brickset review.
41924 Secret Holder -- A handful of SNOT and a ton of accent pieces.  At $0.04 per Piece this is a great deal.

21166 The "Abandoned" Mine -- I know this is from 2020 but, the "spider" could be the start of a Frame, it has an Octagonal Bar Plate and other useful parts, and it's $0.08 per Piece.

41447 Heartlake City Park -- This looks like a nice terrain set with a buch of useful parts added in.
41443 Olivia's Electric Car -- That's a fantastic looking Station right there and it's $0.08 per Piece to boot.
41692 Vet Clinic Rescue Helicopter -- Plenty of Coral pieces along with several useful pieces at $0.08 per Piece make this a really good choice.

43189 Elsa and the Nokk Storybook Adventures -- Okay there's a severe Star Wars Tax on this one ($0.16 PpP) but the Translucent parts are great and the Printed Pentagonal Tile would make a great mean mug for any mecha.

71738 Zane's Titan Mech Battle -- At $60 it's a large set but, it's $0.07 per Piece, has a great selection of useful parts, and has a ton of Sand Blue.

10280 Flower Bouquet -- $0.07 per Piece and a really cool array of colors and useful pieces.
10281 Bonsai Tree -- $0.06 per Piece and another great starter kit for terrain.

75295 Millenium Falcon Microfighter -- Plenty of useful parts at the Golden Ratio.

42116 Skid Steer Loader -- Ah, affordable Technic sets how I love thee.
42117 Racing Plane -- A small Technic sets with interesting colors.

76171 Miles Morales Mech Armor -- Plenty of Clips, Ball Joints, and other useful pieces at a good price.
76145 Eternals' Aerial Assault -- Ditto.

Polly Want A Baggy 9

A look at the upcoming polybags for 2021.  As usual all information was culled from Brickset.

30343: McLaren Elva looks like a slew of Blue parts and cars are always good bases for starship creations.

30388: Imperial Shuttle, this one looks like a Ship-In-A-Bag for Intercept Orbit.

30465: Helicopter is a Technic polybag.  I really hope this one is widely available because it look like a great source for parts.

30539: Lloyd's Quad Bike might be a good start for a vehicular Frame.  A good ol' battle cart.

30563: Build a Snail is a mish-mash of parts but fun colors.

30564: Build Your Own Monster has a few Clip and Bar Plates that might be useful.  Probably better off combining it with something else though.

30565: Birthday Clown.  Okay, this is scary looking.  It has some good parts though.

30566: Fire Helicopter has some Light Yellow pieces and some Clip and Bar Plates, and is apparently a "Free with Purchase" gift later this month.

30577: Mega Muscle Car is not as cool looking as the McLaren polybag but still has potential.

30578: German Shepherd has plenty of Dark Orange pieces and Bar and Clip Plates too.  Not as good looking as last year's Cat polybag but still plenty useful.

30591: Titanium Mini Mech  Yeah, this is a Frame-in-a-Bag.  Let's hope it's widely available.

Polly Want A Baggy 8

Another look at the upcoming polybag releases for 2020.  As always, information has been culled from Brickset.

30369 Beach Buggy looks like a ramcart-in-a-bag to me.

30368 Fire Rescue Water Scooter there may be some possibilities here.

30548 Build your Own Birds has potential for some good parts.

30549 Build Your Own Vehicles solid potential here.

30574 Cat this looks to be as good as the Pug polybag from a few years ago, maybe even better.

30554 Cinderella Mini Castle looks like a good terrain set.

30411 Chocolate Box & Flower is probably the Valentine's Day set but it still looks really good.

30464 El Fuego's Stunt Cannon maybe more terrain or possibly a fun Station?

30536 Combo Charger another solid car set aaaand it looks to be some sort of transformer.

30537 Merchant Avatar Jay looks to have some interesting pieces in it.

30342 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO is a Speed Champions polybag

30386 Poe Dameron's X-Wing Fighter looks to have good pieces and good colors.  I've heard rumors this is available already.

30555 Poppy's Carriage is a Trolls polybag with some interesting colors.

There seems to be a wide range of interesting polybags this year.

Good Sets for Parts 16

I picked up a catalog recently, and it's been a year since I've done one of these, so let's look at what's new in Lego.

70823 Emmet's Thricycle -- 174 pieces for $14.99, Lotsa onesies in this set, but some cool parts in new colors.

70827 Ultrakitty & Warrior Lucy -- 348 pieces for $29.99.  Tons of Brackets in different colors, Ball Joints, Padlocks, and Triple Tooth Plates in Dark Bley that I've been looking for for a while.

76115 Spider Mech vs. Venom -- 604 pieces for $49.99.  A little bigger than my usual selections, it has a ton of useful parts.

70680 Monastery Training -- 122 pieces for $9.99.  Ninjago is usually a safe bet for a good parts selection.  This one has Pneuma-Ts and a new part for 2019.

70667 Kai's Blade Cycle & Zane's Snowmobile -- 374 pieces for $29.99.  Plenty of Technic parts -- we all know how I like those -- and another new part.

70665 The Samurai Mech -- 154 pieces for $14.99.  I already reviewed this.

31088 Deep Sea Creatures -- 230 for $14.99.  Tons of Dark Blue, a good selection of Ball Joints and other fiddly bits.  Also comes in at $0.07 Price per Piece.

31089 Sunset Track Racer -- 221 pieces for $19.99.  Dark Blue, Orange, and Pneuma-Ts.

31091 Shuttle Transporter -- 341 pieces for $24.99.  Not quite as wide a selection of pieces as others on this list, it still has Bar Studs, Taps, and a $0.07 Price per Piece.

75892 McLaren Senna -- 219 pieces foe $14.99.  A good selection of parts for  $0.07 Price per Piece.

Let's finish up with the Friends Heart Boxes.  They range from 83 to 85 pieces at $7.99.  They all have a decent selection of parts in fun colors.

Polly Want A Baggy 7

Wow, seven years of this?  Time flies when you're searching for that one specific piece in the pile of Lego that is life.  :-)  As usual, the information comes from Brickset.

30361 Fire ATV another ATV for the City fire department.  That looks to be a new Minifig Axe pice though.

30362 Sky Police Jetpack looks like it could be the core of some sort of drone.

30408 Tulips this has to be close to 60 pieces.

30409 Emma's Bumpercars I like the Blue and Purple pieces.

30527 Lucy vs. Alien Invader could be good for terrain?

30528 Mini Master-Building MetalBeard this one has already gotten traction on the Facebook page.

30529 Mini Master-Building Emmet looks like it has possibilities.

30533 Sam-X looks to be a Frame-in-a-Bag.

30535 Fire Flight another Ninjago throwback set.  Looks like it might be better than the original.

30571 Pelican not sure what to think of this.

30620 Star-Stuck Emmet Sand Green Pentagonal Tiles!

40341 Sea Accessories looks like it has some useful stuff but the Price per Piece is going to be awful.

Last year's crop of polybags started out weak but finished pretty strong, so maybe this year will turn out the same way.

Good Sets for Parts 15

It's been a while since I've done one of these, and I've been sitting on a new catalog for a few weeks.

10401 Rainbow's Fun -- 85 pieces for $4.99, $0.06 PpP.  I already reviewed this one.
10402 Fun Future -- 186 pieces for $9.99, $0.05 PpP.
10403 World Fun -- 295 pieces for $19.99, $0.08 PpP.
10404 Ocean's Bottom -- 579 pieces for $29.99, $0.05 PpP.

All of the "Building Better Thinking" sets have useful and interesting pieces in a wide variety of colors at good price points.  Look in to them.

70638 Katana V11 -- 257 pieces for $19.99.

70641 Ninja Nightcrawler -- 552 pieces for $39.99.  Plenty of Green and Lime, plus a Padlock and Black Pneuma-Ts.

70639 Street Race of Snake Jaguar -- 308 pieces for $29.99.  I think I see a ready-made Station.

70629 Piranha Attack -- 216 pieces for $19.99.  Useful pieces and Sand Blue parts.  I already reviewed this one too.

76100 Royal Talon Fighter Attack -- 358 pieces for $29.99.  This is an interesting looking set.

75195 Ski Speeder vs. First Order Walker Microfighters -- 216 pieces for $19.99.  Tons of good parts in this one.  Also already reviewed.

31073 Mythical Creatures -- 223 pieces for $14.99.  Tons of Dark Red.

41329 Olivia's Deluxe Bedroom -- 163 pieces for $14.99.  I like the Dark Azure and Dark Pink.

41191 Nadia & the Water Turtle Ambush -- 205 pieces for $19.99.  As always, the Elves line is knocking it out of the park.

Polly Wants A Baggy 6

Time for my yearly look at the upcoming polybags for the year.  As usual, the information comes from Brickset.

Straight out, the one that people have been raving about for a few weeks now, we look at 30542 Cute Pug.  Four Padlocks, plus a bunch of good pieces in Tan.  This has apparently hit Target stores in some locations already.

30450 Royal Talon Fighter looks like a ship-in-a-bag for Intercept Orbit.  But I'm willing to bet this will be a "free" giveaway in March when Black Panther hits the theaters.

30540 Yellow Flyer also looks like a ship-in-a-bag for Intercept Orbit.

30357 Road Worker may have some new pieces in it.  I'm looking at those Trans-Orange 1x1 Round Tiles though.

30359 Police Water Plane is probably going to be another ship-in-a-bag set.

We get another 30380 Kylo Ren Shuttle, although this looks to have moveable wings.

30404 Friendship Flower looks like it might have some good parts in it but it's a calendar voucher set.

30403 Olivia's Remote Control Boat also looks to have good parts but will have a horrible price point.

30526 Mini Ultimate Batmobile looks a parts-fest and will probably be a "free" giveaway.

Beyond that, I'm not really feeling wowed by 2018's crop of polybags.

Good Sets for Parts 14

I've been sitting on this one for a while because I've been waiting for Bricklink inventories that still aren't done.  But since some of these sets are getting marked down now, I went with Brickset to finish it up.

70348 Lance's Twin Jouster -- 216 for $19.99.  Good parts in Black, Dark/Light Bley, Dark Blue, Trans-Orange, and White.  It's also $0.09 per piece.

70358 Aaron's Stone Destroyer -- 251 for $24.99.  Tons of parts in Dark/Light Bley, and plenty of Ball Joints.

70624 Vermillion Invader -- 313 Pieces for $29.99.  Tons of useful pieces in Black, Light/Dark Bley, and Red.  Plus some neat overmolded Minifig weapons.

70626 Dawn of Iron Doom -- 704 Pieces for $59.99.  This one's outside of the normal price range I recommend but, it has a good PpP ratio and there are a lot of good pieces in the set.

70623 Destiny's Shadow -- 360 Pieces for $29.99.  $0.08 Price per Piece and it has Olive Green Exo Force Arms!

70622 Desert Lightning -- 201 pieces for $19.99.  Same as 70624, but you can find this one at less than retail in Target right now.

41307 Olivia's Creative Lab -- 91 Pieces for $9.99.  A bunch of useful pieces in a range of colors.  Thank you, Friends.  This one would probably be really good for a parts draft.

Wednesday, January 18, 2017

Good Sets for Parts 13

Let's look at some of the new sets for 2017, shall we?

70904 Clayface Splat Attack -- 448 Pieces for $34.99.  Look at all those "Medium Dark Flesh" pieces.  And a Batman set coming in at $0.08 per Piece?!?

70911 The Penguin Arctic Roller -- 305 Pieces for $29.99.  Plenty of useful pieces across multiple colors.  Also an affordable licensed set.

70901 Mr. Freeze Ice Attack -- 201 Pieces for $19.99.  Tons of useful parts, good colors, good price.

70349 Ruina's Lock & Roller -- 208 Pieces for $19.99.  Useful parts and the bad guys for this year's release of Nexo Knights sets use Purple as their accent color.

31062 Robo Explorer -- 205 Pieces for $19.99.  Plenty of useful parts -- it is a robot after all -- and lots of Medium Azure.

31058 Mighty Dinosaurs -- 174 Pieces for $14.99.  Good parts, good colors, good price.

60152 Sweeper & Excavator -- 299 Pieces for $29.99.  Good parts, multiple colors, and it's an affordable City set.

I'll probably do another one of these as soon as Bricklink gets their Parts Lists updated.

Polly Wants A Baggy 5

Another year and another look at what polybag offerings the Lego Corporation has for us. Once again this information is taken from Brickset.

The new Nexo Knights polybags; 30376 Knighton Rider, 30377 Motor Horse, and 30378 Shrunken Headquarters all look interesting.

I also like the Ninjago polybag 30426 Stealthy Swamp Airboat.  Creator polybags 30476 Happy Turtle and 30477 Chameleon also look fun.

Of course 30496 U-Wing Fighter is going to be a must for IO.

The Batman Lego Movie Polybags; 30521 The Mini Batmobile, 30522 Batman in the Phantom Zone, 30524 The Mini Batwing, and 5004930 Accessory Pack all look interesting but they all seem to be tied to some sort of promotion or not available yet.

30546 Krypto Saves the Day is already available in Toys'R'Us stores.

30449 Milano should be real interesting, but I feel it will be really difficult to get.

Good hunting!

71302 Akida Creature of Water.  120 Pieces for $9.99.  It's rare for a Bionicle set to be affordable.  This one has a good selection of the parts we like.

60118 Garbage Truck.  248 Pieces for $19.99.  $0.08 Price per Piece, which for a City set is astounding.

Polly Want A Baggy 4

Another year and another look at what polybag offerings the Lego Corporation has for us.  Once again this information is taken from Brickset.

30277 First Order Star Destroyer, 30278 Poe's X-Wing Fighter and 30279 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle should all make for decent IO ships or starting points for IO ships.  As might 30346 Prison Island Helicopter, 30421 Ninjago Polybag, and 30471 Helicopter.  (Of course I've already reviewed Poe's X-Wing.)

30371 Knight's Cycle, 30372 Robin's Mini Fortrex, 30373 Knighton Hyper Cannon, and 30374: Lava Slinger from the Nexo Knights line along with 30422 Another Ninjago Polybag and 30446 The Batmobile could all make for interesting Frame designs.

30347 Fire Car30348 Mini Dumper30349 Sports Car30472 Parrot, and 30474 Reindeer look like they might be good parts packs.

This year doesn't look as good as previous years in terms of polybags, but there are several sets without pictures in the lineup.
