Purity: Mindbox Warframe Wrestling Reviews, an Outro

I really should have posted these reviews three and a half years ago when I bought the box.  The reviews all seem to be well liked, they have plenty of comments on Facebook and my pageviews didn't drop below 160 on the days they were posted.

Like the Crystal Bricks reviews, I disassembled all the review builds -- even my favorite one this time -- and used the parts to make a full squad.

Scorpions (2Rd/1B/1Y)

Cicadas (2Rh/1B/2Y+SSR)

Stations

So all the squad needs is a Ruler.

While I like the "All Killer, No Filler" nature of these sets, they really do need a couple of basic Plates or Bricks to provide a better foundation for some of the builds.  Other than that, I definitely recommend these sets if you can find them.

Box.  MSRP is $6.22, which gives us a $0.07 Price per Piece.

Instructions and Stickers.

Parts 2.  A smorgasbord of Blue parts here!

Build.  Two Frames (2Rd/
2Rh/SSR) plus a Station.

The Questions:
Can you build something -- a frame, station, or starship -- right away? Yes. (+5)
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? Below. (+5) (The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.)
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away? Yes. (+5)
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts? Yes. (+5)
Score: +20 (A+).  And we finish out the set reviews with another perfect score.

those 2 Plate tall Female Ball Joint, and
Vertical Female Ball Joint pieces too.

of Round Bricks and Lightsaber Blades

Build.  A Frame and a Station.

The Questions:

Purity: K22A-3 Mindbox Wild Wind Review

Another set with the color on the box not matching the color of the parts.

Box.  MSRP is $6.22, which gives us a $0.06 Price per Piece.

Instructions and Stickers.

Minifig.

Parts 1.  The Kre-O Mod. Brick/Cylinder pieces in the

Parts 2.  Those Tooth Plates are pretty neat.  As is the Double Sided 1x2 Plate.

Purity: K22A-4 Mindbox Magic Wind Review

Let's start Mindbox week 2.

Box.  MSRP is $6.22, which gives us a $0.06 Price per Piece.

Instructions and Stickers.

Minifig.

Parts 1.  The box art looks like Burnt Orange but the pieces are Brown.  Plenty of large scale Ball Joint parts.  The quality control is a little shoddy.  Look
at the two pieces in the lower left of the picture.

Parts 2.  Lookit those SSRs!  Lampholders, Double
Sided 1x2 Plate, and more of those Barb pieces too.

Build.  Two Frames -- one 2Rh/2SSR,
one naked -- and a Station.

Despite the iffy quality control, this one still gets top marks.

more Flanged Round Bricks.

Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? Below. (+5) (The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.)

Purity: K22A-6 Mindbox Crimson Storm Review

It's day four of Mindbox Week 1.

Box.  MSRP is $6.22, which gives us a $0.06 Price per Piece.

Instructions and Stickers.

Minifig.

Parts 1.  The Kre-O Modified
Brick in the center of the picture
is always a useful piece.

Parts 2.  The Red pieces along the top are press fit.  Nice to see Flanged Round Bricks (rocket fins) in Yellow.  The Barbs at the bottom are interesting looking.

Build.  A melee Frame
and two Stations.

A decent amount of pieces but a little hard to build with.

Purity: K22A-7 Mindbox Super Warship Review

It's day three of Mindbox Week 1.

Box.  MSRP is $6.22, which gives us a $0.07 Price per Piece.

Instructions and Stickers.

Minifig.

Parts 1.  Lots of neat bits in
multiple quantities which is
always what we're looking for
when it comes to set inventories.

Parts 2.  There's a Lever Base missing from this picture.  A
bunch of the Kre-O large ball joints, but in an odd number.
Some Small and Large Wheels.  The Tooth Plates look neat.

Build.  I managed to build two smaller Frames
out of this set and still had parts left over.

Another top score for the Mindbox sets.

Purity: K22A-8 Mindbox Targe Protector Review

Let's start the reviews with the first set I pulled out of the box.

Box.  MSRP is $6.22, which gives us a $0.07 Price per Piece.

Instructions and Stickers.

Minifig.  Well, that's interesting.

Parts 1. The "staff" at the bottom is a
two part piece like in snap-together model
kits.  Lots of nice Blue pieces too.

Parts 2.  Those Ball Joint pieces are similar to ones in Kre-O sets.  Once again, nice Blue color pieces.  The all Black Turntable is interesting too.

Parts 3.  I took this picture
to  show you what their
Headlight Brick looks like.

Build.  A Walker with 2Rh+d8 (leg guns)
2Ra (cannon) 1Y (sensor) 2W for stats.

That's a fantastic start.
