Terrain Workshop: Undersea Accessories 2

A tiny bit over three years ago, I published a blog post about Undersea Accessories.  Since the Seaweed piece is currently on the PaB Wall at my local Lego store it brought those creations back to mind.

The idea behind these was that they were going to act as the "wall" pieces.  That's why they are all on 2x6 Plate bases -- or longer.  They're mounted on a variety of 1x2 Jumpers, 1x3 Jumpers, or 2x2 Jumpers to change up the distance between them.

This shows how each Seaweed piece is spaced out when using only one type of Jumper per Plate.  I also made them size comparison pictures so you could see how Frames could hide behind them.

I assembled a bunch on a 4x4 Plate but I'm not sure if I'm going to keep them there.  As always, I hope this gives people ideas or techniques to use in their terrain builds.  Flickr page.

Terrain Workshop: Bamboo Trees

I know I've built bamboo before.  This design is inspired by parts from the new Lego Botanicals set "Lucky Bamboo".  The main part that caught my eye was the Apollo Stud w/Arm Down.  I'd say it's strongly related to one of my favorite parts.  That being said, I used four of them with four of the newish 1x2 Rounded Plate w/Rounded Leaf and stacked them on top of a 2x2 Round Brick and capped it off with a 2x2 Round Plate.  Then I placed that on top of two more 2x2 Round Bricks, and a Round Large Jumper.  All of this is done in an inverted fashion.  That assembly is then plugged into a 2x2 Round Tile w/Hole on top of two 2x4 Plates.  (It doesn't have to be 2x4 Plates.  You can use what ever works for you as a base.)

This is 2 Hits in Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack and is 14 feet tall and roughly 37 feet across in 6P scale.  One of the good things about this design is that you can pad it out with 2x2 Round Bricks or Plates to add height and Hits, depending on what you're aiming for.
