I have used Stormtrooper helmets
as heads for mechs before.
Parts 1. This is like a parts box
bonanza. Clips, Pneuma-Ts, Droid
Arms, Levers & Bases, etc. Jackpot!
Parts 2. This bag had the larger pieces. One thing I found annoying was that the Droidekas and Clone Trooper pieces were not kept in separate bags.
Build. I assembled the two Droidekas from the set. What
can I say, I was tired and in a hurry to finish this review.
As you can see, they fit nicely at either 4P or 7P scale.

Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? Above. (-10) (The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.)
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away? Yes. (+5)
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts? Yes. (+5)
Score: B+ (+5). Pretty good for a Star Wars set, Six or more additional pieces and this would have had a really good score.
I'm not sure I agree with your -10 for being above the golden ratio. It's closer to $.10 than it is to $.11 ($.10475... should round down to $.10)

One piece more would have put it at the Golden Ratio. Then I would have rounded it down.
DeleteSure, but 1 piece off, shouldn't be a -10. maybe a -1 or -5 if you're working in multiples of 5. But it still seems harsh.
DeletePrice is weighted the way it is because it's the most important consideration. How much cash you've got in your pocket is the major step in determining if you purchase a particular set.
