This line has received nothing but derision from AFoLs but since I don't buy sets to build, all I care about is cost and content. I had ulterior motives for buying this that hopefully I'll be able to talk about soon.
Box. MSRP is $19.99, for a $0.27 Price per Piece. As you see I
didn't pay full price for this, which leads to a $0.21 Price per Piece.
The Questions:
Minifig. If you look closely, there's a Stud on the back of the "hair" piece.
Parts 1. These were loose in the box. Beatbit Box, Beatbit Box
Cover, Handle, Back Base, Lego Tool, and Rounded Plate.
Parts 2. Beatbits, Curved Tiles, Grille Tiles, Plates, Tiles, Jumpers,
Angled Wedges, Inkwells, Axle/Pins, and Cover Clips.
Can you build something -- a frame, station, or starship -- right away? Yes. (+5)
Is it below, at, or above the golden ratio? Above. (-10) (The Golden Ratio is $0.10 per part.)
If you can't build a frame right away, or choose not to, does it have parts you should be able to put into use right away? Yes. (+5)
Does it have more than a handful of immediately useful parts? Yes. (+5)
Score: +5 (B+). Better than I expected but still horrible due to the cost. At the price I paid for it the score is the same.
